Qilmeg Doudatcz (she/her) is a Master of Science in Architecture Studies (SMArchS) student in the Computation program at MIT. She holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Michigan Taubman College of Architecture and a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Southeast University in Nanjing, China.
Her work focuses on immersive technologies, digital preservation, and computational design. She has contributed to projects involving LiDAR scanning, photogrammetry, XR environments, and digital fabrication, often in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
Her thesis at Michigan, developed in dialogue with Mongolian communities in Ordos, explored digital methods for cultural preservation. She has also supported teaching and workshops in 3D modeling, photogrammetry, and visualization tools.
Originally from Ordos, Inner Mongolia, Qilmeg is interested in how emerging technologies can support cultural sustainability and spatial storytelling.
