Qilmeg Doudatcz is a 3D vision developer and computational designer working at the intersection of computer vision, 3D reconstruction, and spatial computing. Her work spans web-based immersive visualizations, digital preservation for cultural heritage, and autonomous vehicle perception. By leveraging technologies like 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS), photogrammetry, and neural reconstruction, she builds intelligent end-to-end workflows to interpret and visualize complex spatial environments.
She is currently an SMArchS Computation student at MIT and a Software Developer Intern within the perception department at Glydways, where she contributes to autonomous transit network perception pipelines. She holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Michigan Taubman College of Architecture and a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from Southeast University in Nanjing, China.
Her thesis at UMich, developed in dialogue with Mongolian communities in Ordos, was recognized with the Burton L Kampner Thesis Memorial Award and nominated for the RIBA President's Medals, Silver Medal category (2024). Across research and collaborative projects, she has built end-to-end workflows spanning LiDAR scanning, photogrammetry, XR environments, and digital fabrication.
